On May 25, East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School held its annual Advanced Placement assembly. Approximately 130 students who are registered for at least one AP class next year were invited to the assembly. General recommendations for success in an AP class were discussed, and the students heard from a panel of approximately a dozen 2017 East Rockaway graduates about how to be successful in a high school AP class and in college. The students then broke out to meet with their individual AP teachers for next year, so they could hear the specifics for their classes and get their summer assignments.
