Centre Avenue students are learning and performing popular folk dances during physical education class.

The students have learned both traditional and creative versions of the Mexican Hat Dance and Cotton-Eyed Joe via creative movements. The creative movement and dance unit fosters social interaction, creativity and self-expression.

The use of the school’s iPads and SMART Boards have provided a whole new experience for both the students and physical education teacher Wayne Smyle. The new technology plays a vital role by providing information and videos, which in return enriches the learning experience.
