East Rockaway’s Class of 2006 graduate Brittany Fuller’s basketball jersey No. 45 was retired during it’s the school’s Hall of Retired Numbers Induction ceremony on Jan. 6.

Brittany received many accolades during her time at East Rockaway, including being designated an All-State athlete (2005-06),  All-County (2004-05 and 2005-06) and All-Conference (2003-04). In addition, she was the school’s second overall scorer over four years with 1,281 points and the second 1,000-point scorer in school history. In the 2005-06 season, Brittany scored 405 points overall, scored a 37-point high in a single game and held the record for the most steals, 53, in a single season. Her career rebound record (709) places her second in the school’s history. Brittany’s career also includes 100-blocked shots and the most 3-pointers in a single season, 16.

“Brittany was a 1,000-point scorer, strong rebounder, tough defender and the do-it-all leader that led East Rockaway to a 4-year run of success like no other basketball team in school history,” said coach Karin Leary.
