Rhame Students Get Published

Publish

Rhame Avenue third-graders in Gail Beyrer’s and Heidi Kreit’s classes recently published a hardcover book, which was a culmination of the students’ study of oceans and continents, as well as narrative writing. The students set the scene in the ocean and allowed their characters come to life. Each student contributed his or her own writing and illustration to the book. When it was published, the class celebrated by designing hats, eating snacks and sharing their writing. Special guests who attended the celebration were Principal Erik Walter, Superintendent of Schools Lisa Ruiz and student teacher Julia Garvey. Mrs. Beyrer's class dedicated their book to Ms. Garvey for all of her hard work and dedication to them.
