East Rockaway Eighth-Graders Visit Washington, D.C. photo
Eighth-grade students from East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School visited the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. The annual trip reinforces curriculum taught across many subject areas. Some of the other important historical sites that were visited included: The National Archives, The American History Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Lincoln, Jefferson, Martin Luther King, Jr., World War II and FDR memorials. The students also participated in a tour of the United States Capitol building.
