Red Nose Day

The district celebrated Red Nose Day on May 24. Red Nose Day is a global initiative to eradicate hunger and poverty for children in the United States and across the world.

The East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School Key Club and school social worker Ms. Amy Weissman held a fundraiser during lunch periods. For a donation of $1, students and staff had the opportunity to purchase red noses and took selfies with a selfie frame titled “NOSESON.”

Students and staff around the district could be seen wearing red noses, symbolizing a life-changing difference for children here in America and around the world.
