Centre Avenue sixth-graders were recently visited by East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School Italian teacher Mr. Frank Cuttitta. The meeting provided students with an opportunity to explore another culture and language. In the short time that Mr. Cuttitta had with the students, they were able to learn how to ask and answer several questions in Italian. According to teacher Dr. Christian Soto, the ability of students to learn another language and culture helps them begin to evaluate their own ways of thinking and how they view the world.
