Rhame Avenue fourth-graders in Mrs. Sarah Kane and Ms. Allison Gerbert’s class created a beautiful piece of artwork to represent various African-American heroes that made a positive impact on our country during the celebration of Black History Month in school. The banner was a collaborative project, with each child having an opportunity to color a portion of the work. When taped together, it depicted eight famous people to celebrate and honor during Black History Month. Students also created Thinking Maps based on what they learned about the individuals.
