Centre Avenue sixth-grade students recently enjoyed a field trip to Smith Pond in Rockville Centre. Students worked alongside Seatuck Environmental Society and were exposed to the diversity, beauty and wonder of Long Island’s natural world. This authentic outdoor experience allowed students to make a connection to the environment and fosters concern for its conservation.
