The district is proud to announce that Vincent Healy was appointed to the assistant director of pupil personnel services position during its June Board of Education meeting. 

Mr. Healy comes to the district after serving more than three years as assistant principal at Maspeth High School. He also brings five years of experience working as a special education teacher in Hardwick, Vermont, and then Maspeth High School. 

He earned his Master of Science in school leadership and his advanced certificate as school building leader (LEAP) from City University of New York – Baruch College. He also earned his Master of Education in special education from University of Vermont and his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mary Washington. 

Superintendent of Schools Lisa Ruiz welcomed Mr. Healy and wished him a long and successful career within the district.

He joins the district effective July 1.
