Second graders at Rhame Avenue kicked off the school’s fourth annual Performance Week for Special Visitors with their projects on the classification of animals, their habitats and adaptations.

Each student was given an animal to research and created a brochure in computer class using the information. They also wrote a haiku poem highlighting their animal and displayed it on a personalized T-shirt. At home, they constructed a triorama habitat for their animal using materials from nature.

During Special Visitor’s Day, students proudly performed a series of animal songs and presented their animal’s habitat triorama to their families.
