Students and staff of the East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School were successful in this year’s AVID Thanksgiving Food Drive. As a result of their efforts, the school was able to collect and donate 32 boxes of food to Long Island Cares. The boxes donated will feed 32 families this Thanksgiving.

AVID, which stands for Advanced Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness program designed to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in college.
