Students in Ms. Brianne Allgier’s and Ms. Linda Grace’s kindergarten class at Centre Avenue School were surprised with an exciting interdisciplinary lesson about snow globes.

While learning about different types of weather, students were introduced to their task after watching the animated short film “Hey Deer!” by Ors Barczy. For their assignment, students built their own snow globes using a plastic cup, toy duck, glitter and water. With their snow globes, they were able to observe and assess whether or not their snow globe demonstrated flurries or a blizzard.

Students were engaged throughout the activity and were able to take their handmade snow globes home with them.
