Junior-Senior High School students in Mrs. Lexi Pietrantonio’s SUPA Psychology class took part in the new SEL curriculum led by school social worker Mrs. Maureen Schutta.
They participated in a hands-on activity about the “3-lb. universe,” the human brain. This activity served as a collaborative icebreaker for the class before they segued to an important lesson on mental health, specifically a TED Talk on the topic of emotional hygiene.
This is part of the district’s initiative to further enhance mental health literacy across all grade levels.
