The Junior-Senior High School art department had the privilege of welcoming artist Nicolas Bruno into the classrooms as a way to inspire students.

Bruno is a talented photographer who suffers from sleep paralysis. Much of his work revolves around the struggles and emotions of dealing with this condition and how it has affected his life. In addition to presenting his work and discussing his journey, he explained how he operates as a one-man team. With that, he builds his own props, creates his own clothing and poses in his own photos as well.

In addition to his visit, Bruno sat one-on-one with AP students and offered them feedback on their portfolios. It was a truly inspiring and fascinating opportunity for East Rockaway students.
