The district is excited to welcome nine new staff members for the 2020-2021 school year. The incoming staff participated in the district’s annual new teacher orientation in preparation for their journey as members of the East Rockaway family.

New teachers include Jonathan Chevalier, substitute teacher; Joseph Cohen, substitute teacher; Richard Hess, substitute teacher; Andrew Kell, leave replacement special education teacher; Ann Kerner, leave replacement kindergarten teacher; Dr. Danielle Lundgren, school psychologist; Justin McGowan, short term substitute social studies teacher; Margaret Orgera, short term substitute elementary teacher; and Stephen Smaldon, leave replacement special education teacher.

Along with nine new staff members, the district also officially welcomed new administrators Vincent Healy, director of pupil personnel services; Calia Kelly, principal of Centre Avenue School; and Robert Kennedy, assistant director of pupil personnel services.
