Kindergartners at Rhame Avenue and Centre Avenue schools participated in a lesson on being a “Caring Kids,” in honor of Bullying Prevention Month.
Caring Kids is a bully/violence prevention workshop developed by Child Abuse Prevention Services. It is comprised of storytelling, role playing and puppetry. Students in kindergarten learned to identify feelings, practice empathy, respect differences and effectively respond to bullying. This workshop was facilitated by school social worker Dawn McCabe.
