The district is proud to announce that Junior-Senior High School sophomore student-athlete Clare Acuti was selected to be part of the Team Up for Unity Initiative between Section VIII, Section XI and the Long Island Nets. She is one of 12 student-athletes selected from across Nassau County.

As part of the initiative, Clare will assist in moderating a 45-minute virtual discussion in partnership with experts in the field of racism and bias in society. Prior to the panel discussions, which will take place between January and June, Clare will participate in a training session during the week of Jan. 25.

The district congratulates Clare on this tremendous accomplishment.
