Junior-Senior High School students in Mrs. Patricia Refino and Mr. Andrew Kell’s earth science class teamed up and created a scaled model of the solar system.
The class began by crafting models of the planets’ diameters and then compared the diameters of the inner and outer planets. After that, students were able to measure out a scaled model of the distances between the planets in the hallway. Throughout the lesson, in-person students remained socially distant and virtual learners followed along through Google Meet live-stream.
