Junior-Senior High School senior Ryan Johnson has made much success being enrolled in Automotive Technology at Barry Tech. He started in the Automotive Technology program at Barry Tech in September 2019. His maturity, responsibility, skills, work ethic and desire to learn the trade continues to impress his automotive instructor as well as his industry mentors.

Ryan was given a unique opportunity by being recommended for an internship at a dealership during his first year of the program. He interned at Rockville Centre GMC for several months as a high school junior and trained 1:1 alongside a seasoned master technician. When Ryan returned to school this year, he was sent to an independent shop in Island Park where he also had a 1:1 mentor technician.

In addition to his growing success, he was recently interviewed with the service manager for a technician position and has been gainfully employed at Levittown Ford for several weeks now.
