Centre Avenue and Rhame Avenue elementary schools were buzzing with dreams and aspirations, as students participated in a weeklong Career Exploration event. Students were able to participate in more than 50 virtual presentations, where parents, community members and presenters from around the world discussed their occupations.

This was also part of the school’s Spirit Week, where students dressed up based on the theme of the day. This included wearing pajamas to "Reach for Your Dreams,” dressing up as their dream job on "Career Day," wearing bright colors for "Your Future is Bright," college sweatshirt or college colors on "College Day,” and East Rockaway gear for "Your Future Starts Now!"

Students were also able to participate in an at-home contest where they interviewed a person with an interesting career or drew a picture of a career of interest to earn a prize.
