Junior-Senior High School students in the New York State Mentoring Program and the Twilight program received an exciting visit from two furry guests from the Canine Companions for Independence and their guardian Marianne Hutcheson.

NYS Mentor Sheryll Dorf suggested the visit after the group discussed how animals and pets positively impact people. Ms. Hutcheson explained the goal of the nonprofit organization is to enhance the lives of people by providing highly trained assistance dogs.

Students enjoyed the event and couldn’t stop from grinning throughout the visit.
