Learning History Through Speed Dating Activity

Students in Ms. Valerie Parasmo's AP World Modern class at the Junior-Senior High School took part in a historical “speed dating” review activity, where they each took on the role of a historical figure from 1450-1750 CE. 

They then went on several mini “speed dates” to learn about other figures from the same time period. With that, they had to write analysis statements explaining their compatibility with those other figures. 

The activity helped students to not only review important content, but also to understand the perspectives of people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
