Bean Pull Activity

sinusoidal.jpg thumbnail158781

Students in Mrs. Deanna Mignella’s Algebra II class are learning about sampling variability in their statistics unit. During this lesson, they performed a bean pull simulation using white beans and black beans to approximate the sampling distribution of the sample proportion. They also used the simulation to anticipate estimation error. In addition, students will also learn how to use their graphing calculators to interpret the data and run their own simulations.
