The district had a great turnout for its Elementary Curriculum Night and Title I Parent Meeting on Nov. 15. Ms. Ma and Mr. Walter welcomed the families and introduced Mrs. Hecht who shared information about our district's Title I grant program along with the schedule for the evening. Families rotated through three sessions including sessions on reading services, math instruction and our new science program, Science 21 (K-2), and our new school counseling program (gr 3-6). Our teachers provided information about these programs and services, and gave families strategies to use at home to support their children's learning. Child care and pizza was provided for young children so family members could participate in the program. We hope this event gave families greater insight into our elementary curriculum and helps to support our students' overall success in school. We welcome feedback and continue to strive to serve the needs of all families.
