Rhame Avenue third grade students utilized their green thumbs in the school garden beds, as a way to celebrate Earth Day.
Students in Ms. Sarah Kane’s and Ms. Heidi Kreit’s class planted a variety of vegetables and fruits including cabbage, lettuce and strawberries. They also made signs for the garden and pulled the weeds from other garden beds. To finish the activity, students read Harry Behn’s poem “Trees” together.
