Tensions were high at the Junior-Senior High School as students in Food & Nutrition 2 class worked diligently to develop their own business during round one of Food Truck Wars challenge.

Students spent several weeks creating everything that would be required to have a successful food truck business. This includes creating a business plan, menu, social media campaign and model food trucks. The project was capped off with the students coming up with their “signature dish” that would be judged by three members of the Junior-Senior High School administration. They had to create their recipe, a grocery order and be ready to put it all together in only 40 minutes.

The students rose to the challenge and exceeded all expectations. The judges tried their samples and scored them accordingly on all aspects of the project. The winner of the project was Unlawful Waffles. After going through the comments and scoring in conferences with each team, the students suggested that the class host a redemption round the following week.
