Students Explore School Library

Junior-Senior High School sophomores enjoyed exploring a variety of books in the school library. Different genres were set aside and discussed with teacher Mr. Canale beforehand to best sharpen student's desire for reading. After signing the library book contract, they were able to rotate tables of various genres, including mystery, biography, fantasy, realistic fiction, adventure and our specialized September/October selection of anti-bullying and Hispanic Heritage.

Students checked out their items at the circulation desk and grabbed a few bookmarks on the way out. They were eager to share their selections when they arrived back to class with one another and their classroom teacher. This is a great way to foster and promote independent reading.
