Members of the district joined together to demonstrate their appreciation for the hard work and dedication that members of the board of education have devoted to their positions during the October board of education meeting.
Centre Avenue Principal Calia Kelly and members of the school’s Student Council took to the podium to express their gratitude through speeches and a video presentation. Students used each letter from the term “Thank You” to share words that described the wonderful work that the board has done for the district. Members of the community also provided the board of education with gifts of appreciation.
This recognition follows the New York State School Boards Association’s School Board Recognition Week that runs from Oct. 18-22. This allows school board members to be honored for their volunteer service, commitment and contributions to their schools and community.
