AP Scholar Students Lauded

The district’s Board of Education was proud to congratulate the achievements of students who earned the Advance Placement Scholar designation during the December board of education meeting.

Junior-Senior High School Principal Richard Schaffer took to the podium and expressed the significance of this recognition. He also announced the 30 student recipients who will be receiving certificates.

Advance Placement Scholars are current students and recent graduates who were recognized for their successful performance on the 2021 AP exams. With 17 students earning the distinction of AP Scholar, seven students earned the distinction of AP Scholar with Honor and six students earned the distinction of AP Scholar with Distinction.

The district applauds all students on their wonderful accomplishment.

AP Scholars:
Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3 or higher 3 or more AP exams taken.

Nolan Annarelli, Luke Araoz, Abigail Davila, Alyson Lovera, Matthew Machovec, Emily Mclaughlin, Grace McNally, Deanna Minotakis, Madeline Mistretta, Alyssa Nicolo, Nicholas Pannullo, Emma Pollackov, Sydney Rodriguez, Isabella Schaefer, Lucy Temple, Elissa Velasquez and Alyssa Walsh.

AP Scholars with Honor:
Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on 4 or more of these exams.

Isabelle Anderson, Michael Kilgus, Leslie Madera, Kathryn McMahon, Matthew Pollackov, Sofia Valdebenito and Grace Wayar.

AP Scholars with Distinction:
Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on 5 or more of these exams.

Sofia Bertolotti, Lauren Cronin, Megan McMahon, Jason Miller, Daniella Pedi and
Madeleine Prucha.
