On Tuesday, June 14th, the writers of Herstory Writers Workshop hosted a coffee house for students, faculty, parents, and community members to present the “elephant in the room” project. Students read stories that shared personal experiences relating to race, gender, immigration, and injustices in our school community. Herstory’s goal is to use writing to change hearts, minds, and policies. They plan to continue to advocate for change by hosting more events in the future.
