Members of the Gamers Club at wrapped up its first year with a finale trip to the Museum of Moving Images in Astoria, Queens. Students linked their preference for video games and board games with an extensive tour of the MOMI's film and television exhibits, historic video game arcade, animation section, and future careers in the field. Star Wars' original Chewbacca mask was just one of the iconic creations on display. Hands-on tutorials for matching audio sound production to movies, as well as creating one's own mini film were also provided. Gamers Club will resume in the fall under staff members Maureen Schutta and Karin Cooney.
