Spanish 4H students enjoyed Peruvian empanadas from a local vendor, Jessy’s Pastries in Oceanside to conclude the Food unit. Students tried two savory empanadas made of beef and chicken and two sweet empanadas made of guava with cream cheese and apple. They wrote a review of each one in Spanish and a thank you note to Jessy, the owner of Jessy’s Pastries.
