The district is proud to welcome five new faculty members for the 2023-24 school year, including two department chairpersons, two elementary school teachers and a library media specialist.

The new team members were officially introduced during the annual orientation day on August 28 which included a deep dive into the East Rockaway Schools’ mission and culture, as well as procedures, policies and other information to help facilitate a smooth transition starting on day one.

The new faculty members include Christine Redden (Mathematics Chairperson), Angelica Rodriquez Alonzo (World Language Chairperson), Molly DeBenedetto (Rhame Avenue fifth grade teacher), Julia Garvey (Rhame Avenue third grade teacher) and Devin Murray (East Rockaway Jr./Sr. High School Library Media Specialist).

We welcome you all to the East Rockaway family and welcome BACK to Molly, an ERHS graduate.
