We are excited to announce a significant achievement at East Rockaway High School: this year, 50 students have earned the prestigious distinction of AP Scholar. This is a new record for the district, marking a milestone in our ongoing pursuit of academic excellence.

The AP Scholar Awards recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on Advanced Placement exams. These exams are challenging and achieving AP Scholar status is no small feat. It requires dedication, hard work, and a commitment to academic growth.

Of the 50 AP Scholars, several have achieved distinctions beyond the standard AP Scholar recognition, including:

* AP Scholars with Honor: Students who have averaged a score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
* AP Scholars with Distinction: Students who have averaged at least 3.5 on all exams and earned scores of 3 or higher on five or more.

The Advanced Placement program offers students the opportunity to engage in college-level coursework and earn college credit while still in high school. It challenges students to push themselves academically and prepares them for the rigor of post-secondary education.

East Rockaway High School’s record number of AP Scholars is also a testament to the growing emphasis on academic excellence within the district. Over the past few years, the school has expanded its AP offerings and provided additional resources to support students in their pursuit of academic success.

To our 50 AP Scholars: you have made our school and community proud, and your achievements serve as an inspiration to all future students. Congratulations on this exceptional accomplishment!
