Rhame Avenue student Justin Elliott was “Principal for a Day” on June 7 alongside Mr. Erik Walter. Justin’s mother won a special raffle prize at this year’s PTA fundraiser dinner and her son was awarded this opportunity to walk in the shoes of the principal for an entire day. Mr. Walter and Mr. Elliott began the day together on Newscasters, visited classrooms, and created a special video playing the trombone together to encourage more students to choose the instrument for band. They also visited the East Rockaway Public Library together and had Wendy’s for lunch in the principal’s office with a friend to end the afternoon. It was an awesome day!
