On April 10, East Rockaway High School's library media specialist Ms. Murray and library aid Ms. Cooney hosted a book tasting event for tenth graders, complete with iced tea, lemonade, and snacks.

The event kicked off with students taking an interest survey to identify the book genre that best matches their personalities. Next, they explored various stations set up, each showcasing popular books from the different genres. Students jotted down their impressions and preferences, ultimately selecting books to check out.

The goal of the event was to introduce students to the great collection of books in the school's Library Media Center and inspire them to make independent visits in the future.
