Third-graders in Mrs. Heidi Kreit and in Mrs. Gail Beyrer's class used STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) designs with a holiday twist. The students designed structures to protect their gingerbread man from the hungry fox.
Each group had 30 marshmallows and 30 toothpicks. The goal was to design a structure that would prevent an adult hand from pulling out the gingerbread man.
