The Junior-Senior High School congratulates art students who received honors after entering their work into the Rep. Kathleen Rice 2020 Congressional National Art Competition.

For the competition, one first-place winner and five runners-up are selected by a panel of judges from Adelphi University. The winner's artwork will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year.

This year, 33 high school students from 10 schools in the fourth Congressional District participated. East Rockaway students took all three places with a three-way tie for third. First-place winner was Lauren Cronin, second-place winner was Matthew Pollackov, and third-place winners were Gianna Campanaro, Abby DaVila and Emily Ramos.

The district applauds these students and is proud of their achievements.
