East Rockaway HOSA students shine at spring leadership conference

East Rockaway High School's HOSA chapter had a standout performance at the recent spring leadership conference, competing with skill and professionalism in one of the organization's most exciting events.
HOSA – Future Health Professionals is a national student organization dedicated to empowering students to become leaders in the global health community. Through competitive events, leadership development and real-world experiences, HOSA prepares students for careers across the full spectrum of the healthcare field.
In the HOSA Bowl, students went head-to-head answering rapid-fire questions spanning a broad range of health occupations topics and rose to the challenge, earning an impressive second-place finish.
Beyond the competition, students took full advantage of the conference's enrichment opportunities, participating in workshops led by institutions including Ithaca College, Clarkson University, the American Red Cross and LECOM, among others. The sessions gave students meaningful exposure to the healthcare field and the educational pathways that lead there.
The team's dedication, composure under pressure and genuine passion for healthcare were on full display throughout the event – a reflection of the strong foundation being built right here in East Rockaway.
Congratulations to our HOSA students on a truly impressive showing. The future of healthcare is in good hands!
