East Rockaway School District Celebrates Diversity at Annual Multicultural Evening

On Wednesday, March 31, students, families, and staff from across the East Rockaway School District gathered at the high school for the district's annual Multicultural Evening – a cherished celebration of the rich cultures that makes up the East Rockaway community.
The event brought together attendees from all corners of the district for a night filled with connection, creativity, and cultural pride. Guests enjoyed a spread of traditional foods representing a variety of heritages, tested their knowledge with fun multicultural trivia, and contributed to a collaborative community art project that reflected the diversity of those in attendance.
The evening's energy reached new heights during vibrant musical and dance performances that showcased the traditions and talents of students and families alike. Together, the performances served as a joyful reminder of the many backgrounds and stories represented within the district's schools.
The Multicultural Evening continues to stand as one of the district's most beloved traditions – a reminder that East Rockaway's greatest strength lies in the many cultures that call it home and the connections that bring them all together.
