Charlotte Webster earns Nassau STANYS Award for excellence in science

Please join the Science Department in congratulating Charlotte Webster, this year's recipient of the 2026 Nassau STANYS (Science Teachers Association of New York State) Award. This honor is presented to a graduating senior who has continuously challenged themselves in the field of science while demonstrating an exceptional commitment to learning, curiosity and scientific inquiry.
Nominated by her AP Biology teacher, Ms. Pietrantonio, Charlotte has distinguished herself through her dedication, perseverance and passion for science both inside and outside of the classroom. Having taught Charlotte first as an 8th grade Living Environment student and later in AP Biology, Ms. Pietrantonio has witnessed firsthand Charlotte's tremendous academic growth and unwavering enthusiasm for scientific learning.
Charlotte consistently exemplifies the qualities of a successful young scientist through her critical thinking, collaboration, work ethic, and eagerness to explore new ideas. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and look forward to seeing all she achieves in the future. Congratulations, Charlotte!
