East Rockaway's Class of 2026 Celebrated at Senior Awards Night

For East Rockaway's Class of 2026, June 15 marked the culmination of four years of hard work, late nights, and perseverance. Senior Awards Night brought the graduating class together in the East Rockaway High School auditorium, surrounded by friends and family, to be recognized for their remarkable achievements before they took their next steps.
The evening was hosted by Director of Guidance John Madden, with awards and scholarships presented by faculty, staff and representatives from donating organizations, who offered heartfelt reflections on the seniors' character, accomplishments and futures.
By the end of the night, more than $115,000 in scholarships had been awarded to the Class of 2026, made possible by the generosity of local organizations, foundations and memorial funds.
The mood in the auditorium was one of joy, pride, and anticipation as the seniors were celebrated not only for what they have achieved but also for what lies ahead, with commencement just one week away.
The evening’s message was simple and clear: “Once a Rock, always a Rock. Now go out and make us proud.”
