East Rockaway Students Earn Third Place in Stock Market Game Competition

Two East Rockaway Enterprise students earned medals and a top three finish in the SIFMA Foundation's Stock Market Game Spring 2026 Middle School Competition. Noah Papa, a sixth grader at Rhame Avenue Elementary School, and Max Keitel, a sixth grader at Centre Avenue Elementary School, placed third among middle school teams across Long Island.
The Stock Market Game is a curriculum-based investing simulation in which student teams manage a virtual $100,000 portfolio, making real-time decisions among stocks, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs listed on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. Participants monitor market trends, analyze global news and adjust their investment strategies throughout the competition, building skills in math, economics, critical thinking and financial literacy.
Noah and Max earned a $50 e-gift card and a medal for their performance, which placed them behind Woodmere Middle School, the first-place finisher, and Long Island School for the Gifted, the second-place finisher.
Since 1977, the SIFMA Foundation has guided more than 23 million students through the program, with the goal of building financial confidence and capability among young people of all backgrounds.
Congratulations to Noah and Max on this outstanding achievement. Here's to many smart investment decisions in the future!
