East Rockaway Schools is proud to announce that senior Eva Lam has been recognized as a Commended Student in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Commended Students earn this distinction based on their outstanding performance on the PSAT. Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation honors approximately 34,000 students nationwide who place among the top 50,000 scorers.

Although Commended Students do not advance to the Finalist level, the recognition reflects Eva’s exceptional academic achievement and places her in an elite group of students across the country.

East Rockaway Schools congratulates Eva on this accomplishment and looks forward to her continued success.
