East Rockaway UFSD is proud to announce that East Rockaway High School has been named a 2025-26 School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA).

The honor recognizes high schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to academic achievement among their student-athletes. To qualify, at least 75% of a school’s varsity teams must earn Scholar-Athlete Team status. A team earns the Scholar-Athlete designation when the average grade point average of the top 75% of its roster is at least 90%.

The 2025-26 school year was a standout year for East Rockaway High School, which closed the year with significant academic gains and achieved a 100% graduation rate for the fourth consecutive year.

The district congratulates its student-athletes for their dedication to achieving excellence both in the classroom and on the field.
