Dear Students and Parents,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you of some important public safety concerns that have been shared by the City of Long Beach Police Department.

As the school year comes to a close, there is an expected increase in gatherings of students in Long Beach, especially during testing weeks, shortened school days, or non-attendance days. It is crucial to note that these gatherings have, in previous years, led to serious safety incidents. Please be aware that unsanctioned gatherings are unlawful and may result in action by law enforcement.

Please be sure to discuss this as a family, ensure that any plans being made abide by local laws, and reach out to the appropriate authorities should you have any questions.
