The Centre Avenue Chess Club is open to all students in grades 5 and 6 regardless of their skill level. It provides an opportunity to simply have fun playing the game and making friendships. Chess teaches students concentration, focus, and empathy: the only way to succeed is to see the board from your opponent’s perspective.
