As part of National Education Support Professionals Day, the East Rockaway School District honors five exceptional individuals who have dedicated two decades of service to the district. At last night’s Board of Education meeting, Fran Dixon, Kristina Imandt, Theresa Parente, Luanne Sheridan, and Suzanne Volpe were recognized for their 20 years of commitment and presented with their 20-year service pins.

Superintendent James DeTommaso expressed his deep gratitude for their enduring contributions, stating, These five individuals have remained steadfast in their loyalty to East Rockaway—putting our students, our schools, and our community above all else. They have consistently embodied the heart of our mission: to always put Kids First.

National Education Support Professionals Day serves as an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the vital roles played by those who work behind the scenes to ensure the success of students and the smooth operation of schools. From maintaining facilities and ensuring safety to supporting students and families, the work of education support professionals is essential to the district’s mission.
