At the meeting on Sept. 19, the East Rockaway Board of Education was proud to recognize for tenure East Rockaway Jr./Sr. High School psychologist Dr. Rosina Pzena.

Dr. Pzena was joined by family and faculty members for the ceremony and was introduced by Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services and Instructional Personnel Vincent Healy. Mr. Healy remarked that Dr. Pzena is someone that students know they can turn to. “She allows them to see things from a new perspective and achieve what they would never believe is possible,” said Mr. Healy. “Dr. Pzema is a skilled crisis management specialist, an empathic listener and a believer that building relationships with families is critical to the process of helping students thrive.”

The district congratulates Dr. Pzena and thanks her for her unwavering dedication to our students and to the East Rockaway Schools community.
